GGRC SF/Marin

Two-part GGRC work covering updates to the older San Francisco office and follow-on work at the newer Marin site.

This entry covers GGRC work across two locations: the older San Francisco office and a newer site in Marin. The two jobs are related, but they make more sense together than as separate pages because they show the work moving from an existing office setup into the next location.

San Francisco Office

The San Francisco portion was a relatively simple room update led by Dan. The office already had a setup in place, including TVs on rolling carts, and the goal was to move away from that temporary arrangement toward a more permanent wall-mounted solution.

The main value in this scope was getting the displays off the carts and onto the wall with the supporting infrastructure behind them. The room also included two PTZ cameras at the back that were pointed toward the presenter, and there was an iPad added as part of the overall room setup, but the central field work was the display mounting and the supporting hardware that made the room feel more finished and less improvised.

This was not a large or especially complicated project, but it is still a useful example of straightforward execution. The work was cut-and-dry, the scope was clear, and the job was mainly about completing the installation cleanly and moving the space from a temporary setup to something more permanent and usable.

Marin Office

The Marin office was a little more involved than the San Francisco update, but still followed the same overall pattern of straightforward room installation work. The main room included two side-by-side displays with a PTZ camera centered between them, and there were also a few smaller offices where additional TVs had to be installed.

We ran the required infrastructure locally, installed speakers in the rooms, and completed the supporting wall-mounted AV scope so the newer site had the same kind of functional, permanent setup rather than a temporary or pieced-together arrangement. Like the San Francisco office, this was not about solving a highly unusual technical problem. It was about completing repeated room-system work cleanly and efficiently across a small office environment.
