San Mateo Transportation Authority (SamTrans)
Hybrid execution, systems support, field coordination, and workflow acceleration across the SamTrans deployment.
On the SamTrans project, I operated in a hybrid execution and systems-support role that contributed to both field operations and overall project efficiency.
I developed and maintained structured tracking systems for installation progress, device placement, and outstanding work. This created a centralized reference point that improved coordination across concurrent workstreams and reduced ambiguity during deployment.
I also worked closely with project leadership to keep field execution aligned with project documentation and maintain consistency across the rollout.
During key phases of the deployment, I maintained a high level of availability for extended-hour work and provided consistent overtime coverage when additional execution support was needed. This sustained project momentum during periods of heavy demand.
To address inefficiencies in device data collection, I designed and built a software-assisted workflow for capturing MAC addresses and related device information tied to the network burden. I also organized and maintained spreadsheet-based tracking for hundreds of devices, including MAC addresses, room numbers, part numbers, SKUs, and related inventory fields. This replaced manual entry across multiple technicians, improved data accuracy, and reduced collection time dramatically.

Loom Walkthrough
Walkthrough of the label-ingestion app I built for the SamTrans workflow. The tool reduced ingestion time by at least 8x versus the manual process and delivered immediate ROI, with development completed in approximately four hours through direct software implementation and deep technical understanding of the workflow.

Numbers Tracking Document
Shared SamTrans tracking document I created to support device ingestion, organization, and reference across the project. The document has been used and referenced by more than ten people, including project stakeholders relying on it to execute their work, reflecting responsibility and systems ownership well beyond a typical apprentice-level contribution.

Within the broader SamTrans effort, one task was initially scheduled across a multi-day window. By organizing personnel, coordinating directly with project leadership, and directing execution in the field, I compressed the full scope into a single day.
I managed coordination between field technicians and shop personnel to keep work moving continuously and avoid preventable delays.
Outcome: These contributions supported a faster, more organized deployment cycle and kept the project ahead of schedule while maintaining documentation quality. The haul-off effort also reflected my ability to step into a coordination role, align multiple parties in real time, and shorten timelines without creating rework or operational drag.
